Has anyone set up an event using the cohort scenario so that attendees of a specific set of sessions stay together for each session?

I am trying to figure out how (and if) I can set this up in Cvent.

We have done this before but we had Cvent support build it.

    Hi Laura,
Have you researched whether Appointments might work for you? You can put people into Groups, and then put those Groups into a specific Appointment? I'm not sure of the parameters for Appointments, but wanted to suggest it in case you hadn't looked into that yet. Here's more info: https://support.cvent.com/apex/CommunityArticle?id=000068252&Lang=en_US&searchTerm=group%20attendees

For what it's worth, if you are looking for more of an educational platform, I don't think Cvent is the correct platform for you. You need an LMS (learning management system) such as Moodle. Hope this is helpful!

Hi Laura -  I may be oversimplifying, but it seems like you could utilize session groups to pre-sort attendees. I know that would limit choices for your attendees if you aren't offering the same session/track multiple times, but with some extra communication around what you are doing and why (e.g. their safety, easier contact tracing) I would hope everyone would understand and realize this may be the path forward to having live events again.

I was going to suggest the same, groups. And/use and internal field with a code to sort and assign the individuals.

    Hi Laura,

I'm not sure if it's fully applicable to your scenario, but we've done something similar in the past using admission items. You can make sessions included based on the admission item, s instead of having attendees choose sessions individually, we have them chose an admission item which then automatically registers them for the right set of sessions. It's nice because a single session can be included on multiple admission items, so if you have general sessions, or sessions that apply for more than one cohort you would be able to include that for more than one cohort.
