  • 1.  Getting Sessions to Appear in Attendee Hub but not Reg Page

    Posted 07-13-2021 17:15
    Hi There,
We have a virtual event coming up that is over the course of 4 weeks. We created a "week 1"  (et al) session with a description so it shows in the registration instead of listing each individual session. However, each individual session is created but we've not opened registration for them (yet) so they don't appear in registration.

Here's my problem, without opening registration, those sessions do not appear in the Attendee Hub.
If I open the sessions, then the registration page becomes a nightmare.

Is there a way to get them to show on the Attendee Hub without having them appear on the reg page?

    Thanks so much hive mind!

This is a bit clunky, but can be effective.

I did the following on the registration website for the Fees page, and you can do something similar in the Attendee Hub. I hid the usual fees page and made a custom page with a table where I put the fees for the event. The problem with using the Fees page is that I had a bunch of zero-dollar fees for registration paths that were showing up as "complimentary" and automatically shown on the Fees page. That would open a big can of worms with attendees who we expect to pay to attend.

    So, in the VAH:
Hide the All Sessions Page - you might need an IT ticket to do that.
Make a custom page, ie Session Sneak Peek
Embed the content in the custom page: not sure if there is an html widget that will work in the VAH, or if you have to insert a table or a static graphic of session data. It would be better either way with a session name, description, and speaker pic and name.

It is clunky, but I think that strategy will work for you.

    Hi Danielle,

If you don't need any sessions to show on the registration (like we do), simply delete the sessions widget! The registration builder will flag it up but you can still publish the registration without that widget.

    Hope that helps!
