  • 1.  Virtual Attendee Hub - Standard Support/Do it yourself

    Posted 02-26-2021 15:26
    Hi all,
We are planning on using the virtual Attendee Hub to host our upcoming virtual meetings. I am hoping to connect with someone who has used the Hub, specifically the standard support/do-it-yourself option.
    Thanks!,
    Rachel

    Hi Rachel,
Our team is currently hosting a virtual continuing medical education meeting on the VAH. We are managing the whole thing ourselves. I would be happy to answer any questions you may have.
    Thanks!

    Hi Jillian,
VAH newbie here about 50 days out from our 1st program.  From what I can tell in order to manage the entire thing yourself yu content is either all pre recorded or all live?
Are you using Cvent Video Conference (Zoom)?
What are the best support resources on the cvent site?
Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

    Hi Maribeth,

Our event actually used a mix of live and pre-recorded. Our welcome remarks and closing remarks were live-streamed sessions utilizing the cvent video player (zoom). For our lecture sessions, we had the speakers pre-record their lectures and do a live Q&A after the pre-recorded lecture was played. This was done utilizing a collaborative zoom meeting. Our internal staff shared their screen to play the recording and then spotlighted the speaker for Q&A after the recording ended.

The sessions ran fairly smooth utilizing both live stream and collaborative zoom sessions. The key to making these sessions a success is ensuring your staff and speakers are familiar with zoom and its capabilities. I highly recommend reading the articles on hosting live streams and collaborative sessions in the cvent knowledge base.

    Thanks,
    Jillian
