  • 1.  Deleted a user by accident

    ​I accidentally deleted a user.  How do I add her back.  I meant to inactivate her.

    Hey Barbara,

    This has not happened to me before but I would think you should be able to just re-create that user. Unless you reach out to the Cvent support team and they might be able to make her active/have them make her inactive.

    When recreating a user vs re-activating, what associated details (i.e. their activities and history) can be recovered?

    I don't think you can recover any details when you re-create, but that would be a support question that I can't answer. 

    I would assume that when you re-activate a contact, it will still have the previous details attached to their user name.

    Thanks for following up on my question.  I concur with your assumption.  I was piqued by your response to Barbara and wanted to know if re-activating an accidentally deleted user was an option, which Alaina has now answered.

    Hello Everyone,
    At this time, there is not a way to recover a deleted user, but you can create a new user with the same username and email address that was used for the deleted user.

    For more instructions and details on creating RFP Users, please see this article on "Managing Your RFP Users."

    Right now, I am not seeing an existing suggested idea in our "Ideas" tab. I would highly suggest submitting feedback on creating a deleted user recovery feature in our Ideas tab in the community. This tab and the suggested ideas are reviewed by our Product Development Teams.
