In-person conference guidelines

  • 1.  In-person conference guidelines

    Posted 07-22-2020 10:34
Hi, I recently received by email a great article on guidelines for in-person conferences in the current world of COVID. However, I cannot find the article now and I wondered if anyone in the community has any guidelines they would be willing to share. I don't remember if what I read was from a Cvent user or not. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Work with your caterer and venue!  They have been working diligently to make updates to their processes and policies. That information can help build trust with your client base. The clients will understand that you have their best interest in mind, that you put in the effort to ensure their safety, and the business relations it builds with your vendors is bar none. Information on cleaning stations, best practices, social distancing efforts, and ways to still have a great event will help ease the minds of your potential attendees.

    Hi Jayne,

In addition to Amanda and any other user's advice, I wanted to provide this on-demand webinar The Future of In-Person Events: Find and Plan Space for Safer Events. There is some fantastic information in this webinar that you can use to discuss with your venues and partners.

    Hello Jayne,

I highly recommend reading the Event Safety Alliance's Guide to Reopening: https://www.eventsafetyalliance.org/esa-reopening-guide
It's a bit of a long read, but it covers all the legality as far as we understand it now, and it gives great, practical information on how to protect your attendees and staff (from getting sick), but also your company (from being sued).

    Cheers,

Hi, all! With the topic of in-person health & safety guidelines still top of mind while we navigate these times, I wanted to share the details of the Community's upcoming Ask the Expert session on safer in-person events. The real-time session is taking place this Thursday from 11AM-12PM ET in the Open Forum, and the discussion thread is already live, so feel free to post your question at any time through noon on Thursday. Our featured experts are from both planner and supplier roles, and can offer perspectives from all sides of the industry.

Please let me know if you have any questions, and hope to see your questions in the discussion! :)

    Best,

    Danni
