"Flash page" to announce postponement of event

  • 1.  "Flash page" to announce postponement of event

    Hi all!

I have a client who wants to set up what she calls a "flash page" that will overlay the home page to announce the postponement of their event.  Is this something Flex has?  I'm assuming I'll just need to redo the Home page, but if there is an option for a temporary overlay page, I'l love to hear about it.

    Ideas anyone?

    Thanks!

We just did this - https://cvent.me/n8RbQX
You will need to close the event.  You can customize the message in language management
    Website & Registration>Language Management
Search "closed" and you can update "This Event is Closed"
Search "sorry" and you can update the message below (like we did to reference the COVID-19 situation). the default is "Sorry about that! Contact the planner if you have additional questions."
Hope this helps you.  Good luck and stay safe.

    Hello Maribeth!
Yours was cancelled, right? If the event is postponed, can you relaunch the event after you closed it? Or you have to create another event?

    Thanks!

It appears an event can be opened again even after it has been closed.

    Hi Cassandre,

To confirm, if an event is currently closed for registration in the system, you can reopen registration whenever you are ready within the same event by clicking on "Reopen Registration" from the Overview screen.
