This week, we've got some #Event(Flex) #Event(Classic) and #StrategicMeetingsManagement updates!

    Event Management

Events App for Salesforce – Attendee Email Status Sync is now a part of Attendee Status Sync: Attendee Email Status Sync has been combined with the Attendee Status Sync. This means invitation email statuses will be synced to Salesforce anytime the Attendee Data Sync button is clicked or when the Contact data refresh is performed. This also means that you can now configure the frequency with which the attendee's invitation email statuses are synced (previously, email statuses would only sync every 10 minutes).

Events App for Salesforce – Event date/time fields are now separated into individual date and time fields: Event date/time fields (Archive Date & Time, Start Date & Time, End Date & Time, and Registration Deadline) have been split into two fields each, one for the date and one for the time (ex: Archive Date and Archive Time). This allows you to have more flexibility when configuring various aspects of the app, such as visibility.

New features when modifying a registration: In a Flex event, when modifying the registration of an invitee from the Hotel Request widget, you can now fill in fields like Hotel Request Status, Confirmation Number, and Planner Memo. You can also approve or deny shoulder dates and set the billing instructions for an invitee.

Session Add to Calendar Data Tags: Session calendar data tags are now available in Flex events for both event and session emails. You can add these to an email to let the email recipients add the specific session(s) to their calendars.

    Strategic Meetings Management

    Travel field updates
: The "ADA Accessible" field is now treated as a secure field. Invitee answers to this field will now be hidden wherever the field is displayed. This information can only be accessed in travel and housing reports by account administrators or users with full access to the "Secure Reporting Fields" permission. Additionally, for air requests, "Meal Preferences" has been renamed to "Food Preferences" and "Special Requirements has been renamed to "Special Requests."

Budget data tag updates: For all budget-based data tags, you can now select which of your account currencies to display financial information in. Along with this, you can now set the "Event Budget Summary" data tag to only include certain budget columns. There is also a new "Budget Details" data tag that shows comprehensive information about a given event's budget. When adding the tag, you can select the budget columns, budget categories, and currency you want to display.
