We are going into our second year of using CVent for event management and registration but am looking to connect with others who have used or are currently using the CrowdCompass mobile app.

    Hi Shelby,

We have used Cvent for 8+ years but just launched our first event with CrowdCompass a few weeks ago with great success.  Happy to connect if it's helpful.

    Hi Shelby,

I just used crowd compass for the 2nd time and we had an over 80% adoption rate.  Happy to help if I can!

    Shelby,

Please feel free to reach out. We have been using CrowdCompass as a standalone for 5+ years and then moved to integrated version with Cvent and have had lots of success.

We use just about every feature, have a 95% adoption rate, a 100% satisfaction rate, and improve every time.

In the spirit of community, what is everyone's favorite event app tip that they've implemented?

@Shelby Keiser If you do connect offline, it would be wonderful if you could circle back and share some of the key learning points as reply to this discussion.

My top three favorite things about the app:
Presentations can be uploaded so audience can follow along in session
Maps can have hot spots so you can direct people to specific places on your floorplan, in your conference area or at the hotel directly from an agenda item
Alerts can be used for agenda items or to promote sponsors

The first two are also favorites of my delegates. When naming and uploading your presentations, remember the system accepts files no larger than 10 MB and you should include some identifier in the file name. I use session numbers, titles and presenters. This way when you run your analytics reports to see which items were downloaded, you can easily correlate the file name with the session. For example: Session_01_The_Best_Beach_Florida_Travel_Industry_v01

If you have multiple places to direct delegates to on your maps for one session, for example, dinner on Monday evening is held in three different places on your hotel grounds, create one session and then create subsessions for each location. Then use the map tool to define several areas and assign each place an area on the map, and then use that as the location for the subsession.

I also use nav icons to promote our other events, for example, using an icon to promote the next conference and having that icon redirect to the Cvent registration page for that event. Or an icon for our regional events so that when delegates are at our global event, they click and access a list of regional events on our website.

#CrowdCompassHack #CrowdCompass Create instructions for logging into the app via the browser-based HTML-5 interface, logging into the app via web browser. Send THOSE to your attendees post-event, and invite them to download all the attachments (to sessions, to Exhibitor Profiles) DIRECTLY TO THEIR COMPUTERS using the web browser login interface.

Attendees tell me that emailing themselves the attachment via the app is a big pain. So let it be painless. Automate that email post-event. I have put those instructions on a custom page on the registration website, too!
