Hello - someone from my company created a post on LinkedIn to register for our upcoming event and embedded our weblink to our registration page within her post,  however, the LinkedIn account is not synced with our Cvent account. Can we still track the click rate from the LinkedIn post?

    Hi Jaime,

Did they create a custom weblink especially for LinkedIn? As in with a reg ID indicating that link is specific to LinkedIn clicks? If so, you would be able to run a report on web-links and see how many people landed on your registration page from that specific link. If they used the same link you use for all your other platforms (email, facebook, website, email etc.) you would not be able to differentiate between where each click came from but your LinkedIn clicks would still be included in your overall count.

    Hope that helps!

    Hi Jamie,

Are you looking to track just the clicks from the Linkedin page?  Or your clicks overall?  If you are looking to track clicks overall, then the link should work with no problem.  If you are looking for Linkedin clicks specifically, I don't think you'll be able to differentiate that information.

Could you create a new link to track Linkedin clicks moving forward maybe?

    Hope this helps!

Sharna gave you the easiest solution using cvent directly.
That said, if you've used the same cvent weblink in different places, you'll have to go to the LinkedIn engagement data to find the info you need. If your colleague posted on a business page, they should be able to go back to that post and look at data there.

You should definitely be able to track it using a custom weblink and a Reference ID. HERE is the article in Knowledge Base about the reports.
