    In Classic we used to be able to use the same page title for multiple pages, but i'm not finding that to be the case in Flex. Does anyone have a workaround? Was hoping page titles could be the same even if the code or something needed to be different. I.E. we might have a different agenda or who to contact page for different audience types, but still want to call it Agenda on both views of the site.

    I know you can restrict website pages visibility in Flex based on registration type, but I'll admit we've never used it where we had to name the pages the same.     Yeah, you can't have the same page titles in Flex. I too, would like to do that. For instance, we have several audiences, and would like to have different info on the same page, depending on audience. For example, I'd like to have only ONE menu item called "Agenda" for 3 audiences, but that page needs to show different headers, instructions and sessions/times. The only way to do that is to have 3 different copies of the Agenda page, each with their own page title.

    Cvent, if you're listening: The workaround for this could be to give us a "Menu Name" that's separate from page title. That way, we could have different page titles, but the menu (like Agenda) could be the same. Then, we assign each of those pages to different registration types.

    Just discovered this thread as I need to have the same page name but in different reg paths.  I have 1 conference broadcasting live to (and from) 3 different in-person locations (Toronto, New York & London).  So I need a Location/Hotel page visible by reg path.  It's crazy I can't name a page "Location" with different info based on reg path.  This was available in classic and we used the feature a lot - from custom home page info, to who people needed to contact to agendas.  So my question is:  what's the workaround?  I can't name the pages "Hotel", "Hotel." and "Hotel," - the last 2 look like a mistake.     

    Cvent - this is a huge miss.

    I have checked in with our product team regarding this. They have shared this is something we'd like to do, but the timelines are not specified at this time. 

    I have also connected with a Solutions Specialist within Client Services who has a suggested work-around for the time-being:
    • You can include a blank custom data tag to the name of the page, and this will not appear on the front-end of the website. Please see the attached screenshots for further detail.

    I'm not sure if this will work in Flex, but we used this in Classic. Create a custom data tag with the page name (e.g. {[E-CUSTOM TAG:Agenda-Broker]}) and have the plain text say "Agenda". Use the data tag as the page name. Create other custom data tags for the other pages. On the front end, it will show "Agenda" and on the back end you'll know which page is which.

    I haven't tried this in Flex yet though. Let me know if it works!

    Your solution works perfectly in Flex.  I found that putting the Custom Data Tag in the "Page title" and putting however you want it to read in the "Browser tab title" field in Page Settings and everything works like a charm.  Your solution for know what page is what in Classic is the perfect hack to the (frustrating) requirement that pages have unique names in Flex. 

    Some details: the Custom Data Tag should contain the text of Page Link you want to appear in navigation.  Putting the text in the "Browser tab title" only displays the correct text in the tab (because the Browser tab tile does not convert the Custom Data Tag to its contents). You will need to create a unique Custom Data Tag for each instance of a page name that has the same page title (other than maybe the default page but I do all of them for consistency).
