    Hello all!

I'm about to change jobs, going to Stanford University (where my husband already works), so my event planning position is now available at the California Teachers Association. It's a great job with awesome benefits and pay:
    • it's an hourly position so you'll get overtime, and weekend work is paid x1.5 on Saturdays and x2 on Sundays (including travel time to and from the conference)
    • there's both a 401K and a pension plan
    • your social security contributions get reimbursed (extra money on the paycheck!)
The job itself is very rewarding as you'll be supporting teachers and educators in getting professional development and in organizing to advocate for their profession. Since this is a union job, there is some politics involved, but event planners' tasks are mostly centered around logistics, from using Cvent to build registration sites to working with hotels on executing contracts.

Vacancy #: C-1105Position Title: Conference Program Specialist II (which really just means event planner) Department: Conference Coordination CenterLocation: CTA Headquarters in Burlingame, CASalary Range: CAS Schedule G (starts at about $6700/month, every year of service gets you an automatic salary raise) Please apply using this link: https://phh.tbe.taleo.net/phh04/ats/careers/v2/viewRequisition?org=CTA&cws=39&rid=3037

Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions! I'm happy to discuss the position in more details.
    Cheers,
    Béline FALZON
