Hi Emily,
Our large annual conference hasn't happened yet this year (hopefully opening registration on Monday, so nervous!) but we have had some other, usually in person events turn virtual which have so far had good results.
President-Elect Chapter Visit #1
Chapter Membership = 103
In 2019 = 17 people at in person event
In 2020 = 72 people at virtual zoom event
President-Elect Chapter Visit #2
Chapter Membership = 36
In 2019 = 22 people at in person event
In 2020 = 29 people at virtual zoom event
President-Elect Chapter Visit #3
Chapter Membership = 338
In 2019 = 76 people at in person event
In 2020 = 205 people at virtual zoom event
Our in person events usually include a learning credit, lunch and a chance to mingle with other members and our President-Elect.The virtual has just been our P-E answering questions asked by a moderator and then opening up to Q&A. It's really interesting how many more attendees we are seeing considering they are not getting as much value as the in-person events. Hoping our virtual conference shows similar increased participation!
Good luck!

Subject: Live vs. Virtual Attendance Rate Conversions
Hello.
Currently, we're in the process of converting a marquee event to a virtual experience and anticipate attendance will be higher.
If anyone has already made this pivot, can you please share your perspective on attendance rates? Trying to forecast anticipated headcount, and would love to know what others have experienced.
This event includes sponsors, speakers, networking, breakouts. etc.
e.g.,
- 2019 in-person
- of the 5000 invited, 2100 register to attend (42%)
- of the 2100 registered, 1600 attend (76%)
- 2020 virtual
- of the 5000 invited, 3200 register to attend (64%)
- of 3200 registered, 2950 attend (92%)
Thank you!
