    Hi!

Does anyone know if Cvent have contact database with tagging function? We are looking to create a database for speaker that you could easily search with one word.

    thank you!

    Hi Angela,
I don't know about a tagging function, but Cvent does have a Speaker type of library that you can create under Admin-->Events-->Speakers

Here's an article that may help: https://support.cvent.com/apex/CommunityArticle?id=000002811&Lang=en_US&searchTerm=speakers

    Hi Angela,

This is not a very quick option, but you could set up a Custom Contact Field for your tags, then modify each person's contact record with the info you need.

When searching in the Address Book, you would open Advanced Search > Find the field under Advanced Filters > Choose "Contains" as the operator > then type the tag you're looking for.

    Hi Angela,

I'm going to piggyback off of Lauren's solution and recommend you set this up using Contacts assigned to a Speaker specific contact group. The contact group will allow you to easily target them from inside any event, and adding them as contacts allows you to take full advantage of both advanced search and custom fields, which are not available in the Speakers section of the Admin panel.

When creating the custom field(s) you will use for tagging, be sure to select type = "Multiple Answers" (either vertical or horizontal). Then enter your keywords as the options. This a) ensures that keywords are consistent, b) cuts down on the time needed to assign keywords to contacts, and c) allows you to search by multiple keywords at a time.

    Thanks!
