Hi,
If a private invitation list is not used, can registration be restricted to registrants using email addresses with a specific domain only?

Absolutely! For each registration path, under Identification and Security, select Registration is Open to: Public, Limit Registration by: Only allowing the following email domains. Then you can list the domains you'd like to whitelist.
