    Happy Monday, Cvent Community! With 2022 inching closer, we know the planning and discussion for your events are well underway. We've talked about your external events and how you are approaching these (virtual, in-person, hybrid, a mix) often, but what about internal? For the organizations that typically hold annual companywide events or sales kickoffs at the start of the year, your 2022 plans may be different than 2021. If they are different but you aren't sure where to start, we can help. Let's discuss:

    We keep everything virtual in large scale team meetings due to cost, travel restrictions and concern about COVID

    • How are you approaching your internal events, such as a companywide or sales kickoff, in the current environment?
    We've continued to stick to virtual only for large internal events. We are planning a big in person event next fall, possibility of making it hybrid depending on the where we are at with COVID by then.

    Our internal events are broken up into 4 categories:
    1. Planning meetings / kick offs
    2. Review meetings / wrap ups
    3. Touchbases
    4. Senior Leadership

    #1-#3 are all hosted via Zoom and will continue to be hosted that way for the foreseeable future
    However, #4 are all being hosted hybridly with an 8-12 month plan to have them all back in person since those levels were the first to be fully vaccinated, have started getting boosters, and have taken courses and heed to precautions for professional and personal safety. I think BOD, Senior Leadership, and any All-Staff meetings will be in person in the next year and going forward.​​

    We are using the Attendee Hub for our internal virtual Sales Year Launch event, which spans over three weeks. Next year we plan to be in-person!

    We use Teams/WebEx/On24 for internal calls. Using a hybrid approach for internal events/sales kickoff. Some events will have prerecorded sessions for virtual attendees while other events will have webcams in the room for the virtual attendees to be able to view along with the in person attendees.
