  • 1.  Air Actuals and Hotel Disprepancy report - not viable for internaitonal traveL

    Posted 06-27-2019 08:30
    When I run an Air Actuals and Hotel Discrepancy report, the departure shows a discrepancy for anyone that has multi-leg travel on the return which crosses timezones into the next day.
    For example, the attendee is returning to Amsterdam from the US - he/she will arrive the day after departure.  The report shows this as a discrepancy even though he/she is departing the origin of the event on the correct date.
    How can you address this without manual review of each attendee and their flight details?

    Hi Karoline,

    This is a great question that may require a bit more review.

    I did initially and they created the case to follow up with an expert.

    Hi Karoline,

    Did you even get a workaround from Cvent? This is an issue for all travelers with connections. If Cvent can't fix it, then they need to make customers aware that the report is only accurate for attendees with direct flights.

    Almost a year later since the last comment, does anyone from Cvent find an answer to this problem? I have an event with over 40 internationals, on multi-flight itineraries, and insert the air actuals was a waste of time and energy, as the report only pulls the arrival time for the first flight, and departure time for the last flight.

    @Cvent 2024 Update:

    I believe I found a solution for this issue, hopefully the Cvent staff will agree. If you are dealing with multi-leg flights especially ones that include international or multi-day segments it is important to add the event airports to air actual setup during the event build. This is useful if you have PNR integration with Sabre/Apollo or if you import air actuals yourself through excel.

    Steps to do this are... Go into Travel Tab on the left side of the page > Air Travel > Air Actual Setup (Tabs at top of section) > Click Edit > scroll down to the bottom of the section > Add up to 3 destination airports for the event.

    Problem solved! Hope this helps!

    Steps 4-5
