Hello! Please review below for an important #Appointments update coming soon.

    Appointments Attendee Authentication:
Starting in June, attendees will now be required to log in before viewing and updating appointments on their attendee calendar. Each login session is 24 hours.

To log in, attendees will first enter their credentials, then a six-digit verification code sent to their phone as SMS or their email address associated with the event. To help troubleshoot any issues, you can also view login statuses and restore login access from within individual attendee records.

Note: If an appointment event is linked to a Flex event, to troubleshoot, you will need to go to the Flex event to perform these actions for an attendee.

for clarification - the last 'note' means you would need to log in for a user to troubleshoot, correct? Not to actually access the calendar/update appointments. The attendee should be able to log in to perform those actions even if an event is linked to a flext event - right?

    Hi Melissa,

Great question! Yes, you are correct that this would only be for troubleshooting. I will make an update in the text to reflect that.

Have a nice rest of your day, and let us know any additional questions.

Another question just occurred to me. If we have the appointment event linked to a flex event and we are also using Attendee Hub - will the user have to log in twice? I.e., if they log into the attendee hub and then access their calendar/appointments from the attendee hub, will they prompted for credentials again or will the credentials that granted them access to attendee hub pass through to the appointments also?

    Hi Melissa,

Another great question - the credential will pass from Attendee Hub to Appointments.

What is the data tag used in the subject line for the "Login Verification Code" email? I want attendees to be able to view their verification code in the subject line when they receive the email with their six-digit code.
