Hello! We are starting to use the Cvent calendar to publish our events. I am hoping someone has some advice or best practices for how you add events to the calendar that are 2 - 5 years in the future.
Options I have considered:

• Adding the events as an additional calendar item. This works but is a lot to manage with 200+ annual events.
• Copying past year's event to the new dates so it will populate on the calendar
• Creating a new event that won't be designed or launched for more than a few years. This option means I lose design and reg process that was already configured from past events.

Please let me know which of these options you find works the best -- OR, if you have a better one, do share!

I would copy your old events to the new dates to make your life easier later on, then leave them as pending with a description about when to check back to register.

Hi Annie,

The easiest way to do this would be your second option. You will want to copy past year's events and change the dates so that your invitees can see when the new ones are taking place. You will also want to make sure that you have the setting to show pending events on the calendar, since these events most likely will not be active until later.
