Private Survey

    Hi there -
My manager noticed that there is a way to have private surveys (By making your survey private, only people who are invited can reply to the survey, they will confirm their identity through a pop up window). Does anybody know how to access this?

    Any information is appreciated!

    Hi @Bridget Flynn,

I found the answer in this KB article.

Add respondents to a targeted list in Surveys (New)
To keep your survey private, ensure everyone is added to a targeted list.

    1 Select your survey.
2 Hover over Send & Share and, under Emails, click Invitation Lists.
    3 Add your respondents.

I didn't open this in Cvent Event management, but I'd check the settings on the survey and look for a privacy function that specifies only people on a certain list can access it.

    Something about surveys:
Think long term - what would you ask about every event?
What data do you want to track? I have a satisfaction survey that I've used YoY for about 5 years that tracks about 13 elements of the conference (this is different from a session survey - this is a post-event survey). I had to change it when pivoting to virtual, asking about the ease of access to the Virtual Attendee Hub, how easy it was to access the virtual attendee hub, etc.

I also recommend using statements and not questions, and using a 5-point likert scale that can be used for just about all the questions. Example:

The content was relevant to my role at my company.
Strongly Agree, Agree, Neutral, Disagree, Strongly Disagree

The information I gained from this conference will help me to increase my sales.
Strongly Agree, Agree, Neutral, Disagree, Strongly Disagree

I easily and successfully registered for the conference.
Strongly Agree, Agree, Neutral, Disagree, Strongly Disagree

It was easy to access the virtual attendee hub.
Strongly Agree, Agree, Neutral, Disagree, Strongly Disagree

It was easy to find my sessions in the virtual attendee hub.
Strongly Agree, Agree, Neutral, Disagree, Strongly Disagree

If you create the survey can't you create a list of those you want to fill it out and send the responses only to them? Cvent will auto track who answered based on the email that clicked on the link so you'd be able to know who filled it out. I believe you can also create session level surveys so you can always lump the people you'd want into a specific track so only they could fill it out? One thing we always kind of liked about cvent surveys is it tells us who filled it out without specifically asking and people tend to be more truthful if they think its potentially anonymous.
