Name: Tori Martinez
Organization: Direct Travel

Summary: In the past year, Tori has become more involved with Cvent than ever before, and her passion for the product and people has increased exponentially. Tori built over 20 registration sites, websites and/or mobile apps for multiple clients, as well as used Cvent modules such as Abstract Management and Exhibitor Management to develop programs that better met their needs. Tori has completed seven Cvent Certifications and multiple trainings in the Partner Academy, and has offered feedback in UX Research initiatives. She’s actively involved in both Cvent Celebrity and the Community, including hosting a User Group forum. She has expanded both her knowledge and advocacy of Cvent, and was excited to be a finalist in this category in 2023. She also was thrilled to attend Cvent CONNECT where she was able to grow and learn with her team.

Name: Danielle Valderrama
Organization: Blackline Systems

Summary: Danielle notes that Blackline Systems has been in the industry for a long time, and while they’ve seen many different softwares, none can compete with Cvent. She adds that there isn't another event management tool that does as much as Cvent does for Blackline, providing the best experience for their attendees and their team. They've trained other departments internally and saved the events team countless hours from supporting their field marketing events. Her team has also scaled from 10 active users creating and using the event management platform to the global team, which empowers their marketing team to create events with little oversight from the events team. Danielle says her team appreciates the focus on partnership from the Cvent account team and Cvent product team. The partnership helps maximize their usage throughout all of the Cvent tools to maximize their investments.

Name: James Rose
Organization: University of Michigan

Summary: As a key facilitator at the University of Michigan, James has spearheaded the transition to Cvent as their primary Event Management Platform, leading to significant user engagement growth and platform adoption. Since implementation, the university user community has flourished, now featuring over 60 active user groups and 150 active accounts. In FY2023, they launched a total of 300 events, and for the first half of FY2024, they've already seen 347 events. James ensures user onboarding is effortless, providing extensive training sessions, additional meetings, quality and accessibility checks before their inaugural events. They have also collaborated with Cvent experts to develop a comprehensive accessibility training program. James is also active in the Community, encouraging users to harness the power of the Knowledge Base, Open Forum discussions, and direct support. This commitment to progress and support for event planners underscores James’ role as an avid proponent of Cvent. He is a Community MVP, Advisory Group member, Higher Education User Group member, and a User Group Leader. This endeavor has not only facilitated a seamless transition at the University of Michigan but has also promoted innovation and excellence in event management.

Name: Chelsea Mulcahy
Organization: Edison Electric Institute

Summary: For Chelsea, Cvent has been pivotal to her growth as a marketing professional. As a Cvent admin, she manages a distinctive setup for her organization. While there are multiple groups orchestrating events, Chelsea is a vital resource as the event technologist. Chelsea and her colleague are responsible for managing almost every aspect of the Cvent platform for their impressive roster of 170+ events - from event websites to mobile apps and event marketing. Since joining EEI in May of 2023, Chelsea's mission has been to elevate awareness, adoption, and utilization of the Cvent platform among their diverse event planners. She proactively sought opportunities for growth by attending Cvent CONNECT in 2023, obtained certifications in Event Management and Attendee Hub, and actively engages in various Cvent forums and groups (Cvent Celebrity, Community, CSG’s, etc.). Additionally, she is spearheading the inaugural EEI Event Planner User Group, where they'll delve into best practices for leveraging the Cvent platform. Chelsea is passionate about empowering her colleagues and ensuring their events are nothing short of exceptional.

Name: Brett Ackerman
Organization: NYU - University Development and Alumni Relations

Summary: Brett has consistently been a partner to Cvent through every avenue, creating internal training programs to advocate for his user education and their account team of 80+ professionals using the platform. He has collaborated across departments to help identify feedback for the platform. He has partnered with his account team closely and helped grow the existing partnership as a strong Cvent advocate. He continues to strive to use his experiences to help educate others at Cvent and will be speaking at Cvent CONNECT in 2024.

Name: Katie Wientge
Organization: Anheuser-Busch

Summary: As an event professional at Anheuser-Busch, Katie operates an organized and efficient meetings & events program through Cvent, always finding ways to efficiently meet and exceed event KPIs. She finds important opportunities to improve upon processes in making the team’s Cvent account more accurate and reliable and her work has helped shape the 2024 KPIs for their corporate events team. Katie and the rest of the team will be undertaking Cvent's Center of Excellence program in 2024 to further identify opportunities for improvement so that they may work even closer to a best-in-class meetings program.

Organization: Oklahoma State University

Summary: Susan has been the Cvent advocate professionally in her way of teaching Cvent to her students and encouraging and requiring them to become certified for their classes, making more power users every day in the industry. She is an advocate at OSU, and when asked about her experience on the platform, notes she is proud of the relationship with her account team. She manages a large Forum that brings significant revenue to the university and her advocacy for the use of Cvent has helped expand their solution suite across the organization as a university-wide solution. She is excited to continue forming the bridge between Cvent and new stakeholders to expand the use of the platform.


Name: Lynnean Celmer
Organization: Argonne National Laboratory

Summary: Lynnean’s passion for Cvent is derived from the ease of management. As a member of the Events team, she finds Cvent valuable in terms of customization capabilities while still providing a cohesive, consistent experience. She notes Cvent has provided a single source of truth for their team while allowing for an aspect of independence as event managers. Using Cvent has impacted Lynnean by allowing her to focus on the logistics and ensuring the event runs smoothly without wasting valuable time. Lynnean is the “go-to” Cvent person at Argonne National Laboratory and encourages the use of it whenever possible. She has also spread awareness about the Cvent CONNECT amongst her colleagues as a valuable opportunity to learn and grow, while finding new ways to enhance their event program.

Organization: Stanford University

Summary: Bryan is a key member of the Stanford team whose dedication and commitment to staying updated on Cvent product updates have made him an invaluable asset. Bryan consistently goes above and beyond to ensure that his team members are well-informed about the latest knowledge regarding Cvent. He actively participates in events such as Cvent CONNECT, where he engages with fellow professionals and expands his network. Additionally, his contributions to the Higher Ed Community User Group and his consistent presence in the Higher Ed Hub Client Office Hours showcase his commitment to collaboration and knowledge sharing. Bryan is also instrumental in fostering a strong partnership between his team and Cvent. His expertise allows him to navigate the platform seamlessly, maximizing its potential for his team's events. His collaborative nature, clear feedback, receptiveness to suggestions, and extensive knowledge of the platform showcase his ability to foster strong partnerships and drive success.

Summary: Cvent technology has played an integral part of Katie's role at FCM Meetings & Events. She uses the platform daily to increase productivity so she can spend time focusing on creating incredible programs for her clients. Over the last three years, Katie has designed and built countless registration websites from end to end and has completed three Cvent certifications: Event Management, Event Management Advanced, and Attendee Hub. She has attended two different Cvent Connect conferences virtually and had the opportunity to attend Cvent Connect 2023 in person, finding it to be a valuable week to network and connect with other industry professionals while growing her knowledge of Cvent solutions. FCM Meetings & Events is a Platinum Partner and have expanded their Cvent offering to four additional countries over the past 12 months, and are looking to onboard every region they operate onto Cvent.

Summary: Ryan’s enthusiasm for Cvent stems from its effectiveness as an event management powerhouse. The platform has revolutionized ParetoHealth’s approach to events, transforming hours of meticulous planning and execution into automation that seamlessly orchestrates what were once labor-intensive tasks. With Cvent, he notes that their time is now optimized, allowing ParetoHealth to elevate both their day-to-day operations and long-term event strategizing. He is helping to lead the trajectory of using Cvent as a testament to its potency, scaling event execution from five events in 2022 to an impressive 35 thus far this year. Helping to deploy the Cvent Event App has proven to be a game-changer in proliferating platform familiarity and enthusiasm across the organization, and its strong adoption is indicative of a resonant digital engagement strategy that has been wholeheartedly embraced by their attendees. He is active in Cvent Customer Success Groups, which has enriched his proficiency and network. He is also thrilled to be attending Cvent CONNECT for the first time this year.


Name: Katy Baronitis
Organization: Christian Brothers Automotive

Summary: Katy is passionate about advocating for the use of Cvent technology across all programs and events. She notes Cvent has allowed her to develop her professional and technological skills, manage programs from start to finish with accurate and timely data, and has created a comprehensive experience - from the moment attendees access an event’s registration site to their logging into the Event App. Katy seeks out opportunities to educate others and share her experiences while supporting her team, often finding creative solutions when needed. Her team were early adopters for Attendee Hub and the Event App, and were instrumental in the event build as well as in fostering a welcoming and engaging experience for their attendees. She leveraged those tools to hone CBA’s pre-event, onsite, and post-event communication. Katy has attended Cvent Connect and participated in multiple UX Research sessions. She has been an advocate for Cvent to others in the industry via her participation in MPI and as a reference, and is a member of Cvent Celebrity as well.

Name: Armelle Razafindravao
Organization: Proske GmbH

Summary: Armelle is passionate about using Cvent event technology because of its ability to streamline and enhance the entire event planning and management process. Seven years ago, when Armelle joined her organization, she did not have any experience with Cvent. She says the intuitive learning process allowed her to broaden her knowledge and enhance her Cvent skills. She took every opportunity that Cvent could offer to learn more, whether it was attending Cvent webinars, independently setting up various events using the Cvent Community and Knowledge Base, or reaching out to Cvent support when facing challenges during event setup. Additionally, she also made sure to remain up to date on the latest features and functionalities. She has experienced significant impact of Cvent on event success and strongly advocates for its use within her organization to enhance the attendee experience, drive efficiency to save time and resources, and support end-to-end event management through a comprehensive and user-friendly solution. She notes she is a strong Cvent advocate within the organization, informing colleagues about new Cvent features, available training, platform capabilities, and sharing learnings. She participates in quarterly strategic meetings with Cvent, regularly reviews Product News for updates, and has attended Cvent CONNECT virtually.

Name: Michelle Passi
Organization: Humana

Summary: Work optimization and process improvement are themes Michelle focuses on in her career and personal life. When she became aware of the number of small meetings her team executes and opportunities for increased ROI and efficiency, she created streamlined processes using Cvent, which has been used at Humana for nine years. Over those years, the capacity in which they use it has grown from simple Meeting Request Forms to the use of a myriad of Cvent solutions. management, including using Attendee Hub for 100+ meetings annually. In late 2022, they moved onto their own license to increase their direct capabilities using Cvent, transforming their program by enhancing the access to and possibilities within the use of Cvent. Michelle has become fully engrained in the platform during the implementation process, using Cvent resources like the Community to network, learn, and research. She has also leveraged Cvent Academy trainings, completing her first Event Management certification in January 2024 and plans to complete additional certifications this year. She is also a Cvent Celebrity and regularly participates in challenges, and has volunteered for other initiatives such as a case study and research interviews to be conducted during Cvent CONNECT, which she will be attending for the second time this year.

Organization: Lamontco

Summary: Josh is a Cvent advocate whose team works to connect every dot between their event program goals and the execution using Cvent solutions. His team uses various products like the Cvent Supplier Network, Registration, the Event App, and much more. He has helped shape his organization's use of Cvent to ensure they have a single source of truth across events of all formats, types, and sizes. They have achieved streamlined development in all phases with minimal challenges, and saw great success in data and shared metrics.

Name: Yolandi Peach
Organization: PKF Global

Summary: Yolandi notes that Cvent offers PKF Global one platform with integrated services for event planners and managers. After COVID, Cvent assisted PKF with marketing to bring Member Firms back together. They are currently reviewing new products to add to their growing solution suite after Yolandi attended Cvent CONNECT 2023 as they look to leverage Cvent to its full potential. This change will create valuable efficiencies, saving valuable time for the team. Yolandi notes they are looking forward to the opportunities the new solutions can provide to their team, stakeholders, and attendees.

Name: Kaitlin Renny
Organization: MCI USA

Summary: Kaitlin's journey with Cvent began in 2018 when she entered the event planning industry. In her role as a Registration Account Executive, Kaitlin focuses on large-scale shows, ten times larger than those she previously managed. She sees her job as solving a puzzle, where each client, business rule, integration, and modality are puzzle pieces that need to fit perfectly to create a seamless and intuitive website using Cvent's registration feature. Kaitlin has obtained certifications in various aspects of Cvent, including Virtual Events, Mobile Event App, Hybrid Events, Event Management, Advanced Event Management, and Account Administrator. She regularly refers to the Cvent Academy and Cvent Community for her work and also enjoys keeping up with product enhancement notices and attending live product webinars in her spare time. Kaitlin attended her first Cvent CONNECT event in 2023 and looks forward to future opportunities to network with other Cvent enthusiasts. MCI had the privilege of being part of the beta testing group for the new OnArrival Badge Designer, and Kaitlin hopes to continue testing new functionality as it is developed in the future.

Name: Lacey Rose
Organization: Catalyst

Summary: Lacey has been working with Cvent since 2014 and has managed close to 100 events using the platform. Leveraging the tool on a daily basis helped Lacey achieve her current role as Director of Virtual Events. She regularly participates in UX Research, Early Adopter programs, and other feedback initiatives for Cvent. To date, she has earned certifications in Virtual Events, Attendee Hub, Event Management, Event Management II, and various other E-learnings. She has also participated in case studies and believes her involvement with Cvent helps her be a better advocate for the tools within her organization. Not only has she worked tirelessly with her colleagues to have their signature events and webinars hosted in Cvent, but the success they have had has led other teams to request their events be hosted in Cvent as well. The working relationship she has with their partners at Cvent allows Lacey to only do her job well, but also invigorates her to want to do more and continue to be a great advocate for Cvent.
