    Hello,

    Can you provide any updates on the status of the improvements to the Media Library? This was on the Roadmap some time ago, but I haven't seen any updates in quite a while.

    Second question - are the plans to allow custom reports as there used to be prior to Flex? Although there have been some improvements, not all offered reports fit each scenario. Having a custom report option would save so much time and make our sharing out so much more efficient.

    Hello!

    One of the product releases was that pronouns and bios are going to be part of the attendee profile with-in the event app and it was mentioned that you could pre-populate this data in advance, for the attendees. I'm wondering how that is done; are those fields now part of their contact record so you update the data into their address book/contact?

    I can answer this from an integrations perspective, but will allow one of my colleagues to elaborate more on the general feature. As it relates to our integration products, we are adding the 4 new contact fields of website, headline, biography, and pronouns to the field mapping area of each integration. This way, you can map these Cvent contact fields to corresponding CRM/Marketing platforms, and with any integration that allows a 2-way sync, you can populate the information into Cvent should you have responses/values for those fields in that other system. And of course, if the fields are mapped, any responses provided during registration can update the corresponding field(s) in the other platform.

    Hi Maria. I'm glad you saw our release announcement about pronouns and bios being added to the Attendee Hub profiles. This was a big update we were very excited to release as we know just how important both of these fields are for so many our our customers for their attendees. You're correct, these fields are now part of the address book/contact record so once this information is filled out for an attendee it can carry over to the next event.

    Hi Tiffany,

    Thank you so much for your questions. The media library enhancements are coming in the 2H of this year! We're very excited about them, and when we have a more specific date we'll be sure to update the Product News section of the Community on the Roadmap tab.

    In terms of Custom Reports, it sounds like you're looking for some more flexibility in compiling reports? I'll be sure to pass this along to our Insights and Reporting teams who will keep the Roadmap section updated as they have more enhancements planned over time.

    Hi! 

    I'm wondering if there is a plan to be able to make regsitrants into speakers within a specific event, rather than have to export then re-import their info. And as a corollary, it would be great if there was a short bio contact field - it could not only feed into the speaker profiles but also into the Attendee Hub attendee profiles.

    Hi Beline,

    As Speakers are in-fact attendees of an event, we are in the discovery stages of determining the best way to get them included in the event with minimal overhead by planners. Once this moves out of the discovery phase and onto a planned timeframe on the roadmap, we'll update the Product News Roadmap for Event Management with this information.

    On the mobile app, is there a way to set the My Sessions tab to be the default tab, rather than All Sessions? A lot of people don't realize there is a second tab and they don't see their sessions.

    Hi Michelle, thanks for joining today. This is actually how the app previously behaved. We received a lot of feedback from customers who wanted "All Sessions" to be the default but it sounds like how we had it originally defaulted to My Schedule is what you would prefer. This is good feedback to bring back to my team for us to consider making it an option since every event.

    Can you please create a data chart where we can overlay an Archived event's registration data on top of a Current Event? This used to be possible before Flex, and is a helpful way to track how this event compares to a previous event's registration trends.

    It would be super cool to have a "registration website" automatic update when we close registration! Ex. when registration deadline comes, the registration website can be updated with new information like "Registration now closed, contact us at---". Will something like this ever be implemented?

    I love that idea! We do have the ability to override current messaging that appears whenever events are closed to attendees in Language Management within events. However, a more direct productized solution to time-based/scheduled versions of the site based on statuses or dates is something we are reviewing in discovery. There are no current scheduled enhancements at this time, but if after our discovery period we are able to determine that solutioning in this space is the right next step, we'll update the Roadmap in the Product News area of the Community.

    There seems to be an issue using Android for OnArrival in which it does not populate pre-event questions when checking someone in so mobile applications need to be run via Apple products to see the questions. Is there a timeline for fixing this issue, or a way to troubleshoot (aside from using Apple)? We didn't have access to the online version due to the licensing agreement.

    Hi there,

    When uploading the template for sessions, there is not a column to upload registration type. Is there any plan to add registration type to the import template? When you have 200 sessions, clicking into each session and associating the appropriate registration types takes up a decent amount of time.

    Love this feedback! Currently our teams are reviewing something similar with regards to our Audience Segments which are groupings of attendees that can include the Registration Types. Once there is a time associated to development for that solution, we'll be sure to update the Roadmap tab of Product News.

    Hi,

    When uploading Notifications for the Attendee Hub, the template includes a column for 'Registration Types'. My Team & I have tried to upload the notifications with registration types and the file does not upload. I chatted/called support numerous times regarding this issue, and they were only able to upload the file without registration type, & then manually go into each notification for me and associate to the applicable registration types, which obviously leaves so much room for error as it becomes extremely manual. Can you shed some light on this process? Is there a way to successfully upload the file with registration types? I was told it was a Cvent Internal Issue.

    Also, if we have multiple languages on the app, it would be helpful if the notifications could be translated within the Language Management for the Event app based off the language the attendee selects within the app. If we don't know their preferred language before hand, we would have to send numerous notifications (1 for each language) as the character count wouldn't allow for each language translation to fit within 1 notification. It doesn't make much sense to schedule say 3 notifications (1 for each language, English, Spanish, Portuguese, etc.

    I'm sorry you've run into problems trying to import notifications with registration types. To get this to work, there's a couple of key pieces that need to be setup in the import file for it to work. 
    1. The "Send To" column needs to have the value "People with the following registration types"
    2. The "Registration Type Code" column needs to have the value of the reg type's code which appears in brackets [ ] in the list of registration types from the create notification form

    As for multiple languages with notifications we don't have any near term plans to support notifications in language management. Please post in the Product Ideas section to get others to vote on this product enhancement for us to consider in the future.

    We received several questions around our Microsoft Teams release, so I thought I'd consolidate them into a single post:

    Q: Can you reiterate the update between MS Teams and Cvent?

    A: Our legacy MS Teams connector was modernized and is more self-service (previous version required more setup from the Cvent team). Functionality, it is the same functionality as before, just on newer integrations infrastructure. 

    Q: Does the new Teams integration allow you to create meetings for each session?

    A: Yes; you can create a meeting for the entire event, and/or you can create meetings for each session. https://support.cvent.com/s/communityarticle/Microsoft-Teams-Quick-Start-Guide

    Q: Does the Teams integration create Teams Webinars and/or Town Halls? 

    A: The integration creates Teams Webinars. Town Halls is not supported yet, as Microsoft as there are no APIs yet. Once added by Microsoft, we'll investigate adding support for Town Halls.

    Q: If you are using Teams integration with the Cvent Salesforce App, will those MS Teams also get synced to Salesforce?

    A: I hope I understand the question correctly, but I believe you're asking either: 1) will the individual teams join links be stored in Salesforce with the Attendee? or 2) Will the Teams meeting be stored somewhere as an activity, etc...? If that is the question, we do not sync the Teams information to Salesforce using the Cvent Salesforce App. What can be tracked is the Attendees registration and/or attendance to events/sessions that may have a Teams Meeting associated to them. If you simply want to know if an event is or is not integrated with Teams, you could map that event custom field that controls whether the integration is enabled or not. This would then show that Yes/No value in the Event custom object in Salesforce.

    Q: For Teams integration, does an attendee join through a Teams link or a Cvent link?

    A: Teams integration does sync the personalized link back to Cvent, however, for attendee-facing purposes, the link is stored/shown as a Cvent link, typically used behind a join button from an email and/or attendee hub, calendar invite, etc...

    There was also a question around the Cvent Salesforce App: For the Cvent Salesforce App matching, if someone opts-out in Cvent, will it map over to the contact record in Salesforce as well?

    A: Yes. You can choose to map Cvent's opt-out field to any compatible Salesforce contact/lead field. For whatever reason, if that field changes in Cvent's address book (multiple email invite bounces, planner change, etc...), we will update the mapped Salesforce field on the next scheduled sync.

    To note, you can also sync the data from a Salesforce contact/lead to a Cvent contact record, too. 

    We understand email opt-out and other privacy/spam concerns are top of mind for customers, so we strive to provide tools/features that allow you to adhere to your definition of compliance with these rules and regulations.
