I apologize for the delay in response as I was occupied with other tasks.
I checked your account and could see that you are using the latest version of Cvent which, unfortunately, doesn't have the option to compare the two events like we used to have before. As an alternative, you can run a cross event report to compare the two events.
By using cross event reports you will be able to review the data for multiple events (including archived events) in one place.
For the query mentioned, you can run the invitees and registrants report from the cross event report section. Please follow the steps below:
1. Login to Cvent > Click the app switcher icon in the top-right, then select Events from the dropdown. At the top of the page, hover over the More menu and click Cross Event Reports. The Report Templates section will open by default. Click the invitees and registrants report.
2. Select the custom date range of your choice > Click the fields icon and add the respective fields you need > Run.
3. Click the ellipsis (in blue color) to the right of Invitees and Registrants > Edit > Grouping > Click on the drop down and deselect 'Event title' > Check the full name > Update.
4. This will pull the data based on invitee name and the number in front of the name represents the number of events that invitee is registered for. If you click on the drop down for the invitee name it will display the name of all the events the respective invitee registered.
5. Once you have the data you can click on action on the top right > export.
You can use the groupings feature in the report basis the requirement in which you want the data to be displayed.
That being said, I understand your perspective and apologize for any inconvenience. But, it sounds like a great feedback. I suggest you to post this as an Idea/feedback for our product team by going to Cvent Community > Participate > Product Ideas.
We encourage you to always submit your ideas or any challenges you face while working with the product. As it also help our Product Development team to review the possibilities and if it works we may try to incorporate such changes in our future releases.

We still have the option to compare the two events on the event's homepage. PFB the screenshot for your reference :
Here, click on the (...) next to 'Compare to a past event' box > Select the Chart type, Time Increment and Breakdown by and it will display the comparison.

In previous version of Cvent, there was a way to lay graphs from an archived event over a current event. More specifically, we could take the registration tracking line chart from last year's event on top of this year's event to see if we're hitting similar numbers, when to expect spikes in attendance (and if there is any pattern to that), and can better project final attendance. Is it still possible to do that? Any ideas of reports that will allow you to compare current events to archived events, specifically regarding registration habits/patterns? Thanks for any insights!
