I wanted to share a bit of a kerfuffle we ran into using the Event App floor plan feature during our latest event. The gist of it is that we had a last-minute room change that required me to upload a new version of the map (background image) and recreate the flag/tags with room locations (overlays that are responsive and connected to sessions).
The issue came when we realized that the map wasn't actualising properly in people's apps, showing the old background image with the new (moved, so unlagined) tags. We even tried deleting the floor plan altogether, and creating a new one. No dice.
In the end, what happened is that anybody who had downloaded the app and the floor plan before it changed saw the old version. We had to ask those folks to deleted and re-download the app so that they could see the new map.
A learning lesson! Try to have as definitive a background image as possible before releasing the app.
