In testing I occasionally see Guest 01 appear as the guest name instead of the name I entered. Haven't thought much of it until I had someone register and on her summary page was Guest 01. I have to assume she had entered a name as her guest, and not Guest 01. She clicked edit and entered the name again and was fine.

Just curious if anyone has seen this?

    Hi Steve,
We don't utilize guest registration a lot, but we do use it periodically (I had a 1,000+ person meeting in February that included guests). I have never seen "Guest 01" show up on reports. Do you use the guest email address when you're testing? Maybe you have a record in the address book with that email address where "Guest 01" is in the name field? Maybe search your address book for "Guest 01" and see if anyone pops up.

Steve, I had this happen while testing an event just last month.  I had been modifying and testing a good deal with the Air Request widget (trying to produce specific reports for the travel agency with Guest/Invitee data in the same row).   Like you, I was able to Edit the Guest from the Summary Page and add the correct information.  In the end I didn't use the Air widget - reverted to a Saved version and Published.  Never saw the Guest 01 issue after that.  Good luck with the fix!

Hi Steven – We had something like this happen a few years ago. When registrants didn't enter a first name/nickname for their guests, their confirmations and name badges showed a generic term (I think it was "Guest"). We learned there was a setting in Admin that was forcing it to default to "Guest" if the field was left blank. Not sure if this is the case for you, but it's worth checking. The setting can be found under Admin > Data Lists > Languages. Click on English to open the settings and the search for Guest. There are a bunch of options, and I'm not sure which one is the right setting, but maybe you can figure it out by trial and error.

    Hope this helps!

I guess it's just one of those quirky things.

Guest first and last name is required. I intentionally left one of the names blank and was prompted to add it.

I feel better it's just not me. :)
