So for these specific sales events we have a company that sends out blanket mailers based on demographic information. The prospects who want to attend go online through that companies portal and register themselves, and if they want, a plus one as a guest. The guest info is just a first and last name attached to the primary attendee. After the registration is closed through this other company I go and download an excel sheet with all the data and can do what I want with it. For these events we don't use cvents registration or invites. I am just using onarrival to facilitate a digital check in process so we can cut out all the physical paper check ins that require more back end work. Onarrival automatically updates attendance in the salesforce campaign.
In the knowledge portal there is an article saying that you need a primary registrant column but I can't find anything telling me what to put in to that column. I know through testing its not First Name, Last Name, or Full Name.

Good morning Tyrel,
The email address is the unique identifier in Cvent and is a required field, so you won't be able to import a new contact if you don't have an email address. As for the guest, if you are importing them into Cvent and plan on sending them an invitation, they aren't really a "guest" anymore so much as another Primary Registrant. I was once told by someone at Cvent that the guest record is like a Post-it on a Primary Registrant's record, and doesn't have quite as much data associated with it. It's typically meant for spouses/significant others/family members, but not so much colleagues. If it's a colleague or business associate, you could use the group registration feature.
Where is the information coming from that you're trying to import? Curious as to why you would have guest information before registration has opened.

Subject: Importing guest info
Hello everyone,
I'm trying to use OnArrival for digital check-in at our recurring sales seminars, which typically have 30–40 attendees. Here's our current workflow:
Event Creation: We create the event in Cvent, which automatically generates a corresponding campaign in Salesforce.
Attendee Import: We import attendees from an Excel sheet, which creates Salesforce lead records only for the primary registrants (not their guests).
Check-In: We use OnArrival for digital check-in, which updates attendance in Salesforce.
Challenges:
I can't seem to import primary registrants who don't provide an email address.
I also can't get guest names to import into Cvent. I need them to also be attached to the primary registrant who added them.
If anyone has any suggestions or a link to some instructions on how to complete the import process correctly I would appreciate the help.
Thank you
