  • 1.  Make Your Cvent CONNECT 2026 Abstract Stand Out

    Posted 12 days ago
It is time for our next Tip of the Week! This week, we are excited to open our Call for Speakers for Cvent CONNECT 2026!

Lead with outcomes. Frame your session around the problem, your approach, and measurable results (e.g., pipeline influenced, cost savings, efficiency gains, attendee engagement). Include 2–3 concrete takeaways and specify the audience level (beginner, intermediate, advanced) so attendees know exactly what they'll gain.

    More submission tips
    • Start with a clear, benefit-led title (8–12 words) and a crisp 50–75 word summary that tells reviewers what's new and why it matters.
    • Specify the audience and level upfront (e.g., Event Marketers, Hospitality Partners; Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced) to set clear expectations.
    • List 3 learning objectives using action verbs (e.g., "Apply," "Design," "Automate") and tie each to a tangible outcome.
    • Show the metrics. Include concrete results such as pipeline influenced, cost savings, time saved, NPS/CSAT lift, or engagement benchmarks.
    • Outline your session format and interactivity (e.g., case study, workshop, panel), and note any engagement tactics (e.g., live demo, polls, Q&A).
    • Connect to Cvent solutions without a product pitch. Focus on the business challenge, workflow, and outcomes rather than features.
    • Right-size the scope. Aim for one big idea and 2–3 supporting points that fit cleanly in a 30–45 minute session.
    • Clarify the industry or vertical if relevant (Life Sciences, Financial Services, Technology, Education, Associations) and call out what's unique.
    • Add credibility with brief speaker credentials (1–2 lines) and, if applicable, co-present with a customer or partner for a real-world perspective.
    • Use plain language and avoid jargon or buzzwords-write in a way that your audience talks, so reviewers can quickly grasp your value.
    • Include accessibility and inclusivity considerations (formatting, examples, and tips that support diverse audiences).
    • Tag thoughtfully. Add a few keywords reviewers and attendees would search for (e.g., "Marketing Ops," "AI," "SMM," "Venue Sourcing").
    • Proof and polish. Adhere to word limits, avoid using acronyms unless they are defined, and double-check for clarity and coherence.
