    1. What are the biggest challenges you face when it comes to event planning and working with hotel partners? finding the number of rooms at the price point needed.
    2.  Can you share an example of a successful collaboration with a hotel partner that significantly impacted the success of your event? When hotels are booked and attendees can walk to the venue, it saves money. A successful collaboration with hotels within walking distance is a must, otherwise you have to pay for transportation which is an additional cost.

    1.  What are the biggest challenges you face when it comes to event planning and working with hotel partners?

One of the biggest challenges I've come across is the "norms" that certain hotels have. Having hotel partners is helpful on overflowed nights however, it's challenging when the hotel next door offers free breakfast vs. the guests having to pay for breakfast at your hotel. Parking is another example as well. Having additional amenities that differ between hotel partners can lead to lost revenue.

    2. Can you share an example of a successful collaboration with a hotel partner that significantly impacted the success of your event?

A prime example of a successful collaboration would be having the neighboring hotel be the go-to hotel when we are oversold on peak nights. Being able to have assistance on peak sold out nights for a group that has bought the house has come into play numerous times which has lead to successful events. Partnering with nearby hotels brings revenue to both properties in the end.

    1.  What are the biggest challenges you face when it comes to event planning and working with hotel partners? Pricing of F&B is a biggie now ($80++ for box lunch without a drink is obscene), but also finding venues large enough for the number of guest rooms needed.  We often need thousands of rooms and the larger the hotels, the fewer room blocks we need to contract across the area.
    2.  Can you share an example of a successful collaboration with a hotel partner that significantly impacted the success of your event?  Many of my events prefer to move around year-to-year.  Partnering with a chain so the NSO is familiar with program and letting them know what we do care most about and what are nice to haves help the process.  Anytime we can look at items that add value to us without contributing a hard-cost to the hotel tends to help both of us out.

    1. What are the biggest challenges you face when it comes to event planning and working with hotel partners? Price and space. We often require a lot of meeting space but not as many hotel rooms and it's hard finding hotels willing to give up so much of their space when you're not taking all of their rooms.
    2.  Can you share an example of a successful collaboration with a hotel partner that significantly impacted the success of your event? We don't really have this type of collaboration since we change venues for every event.
