These three trends are on point! A generation raised on technology looking for a more fluid, personalized, highly interactive experience that utilizes the best in the current tech universe... no pressure when planning an event ;)
I agree with another post that the three focus areas of sustainability would be great to see on this list: environmental, economic and social dimensions. There is so much opportunity for the event industry to have positive impacts in these areas.

Subject: Meeting industry trends shaping the face of events!
Hey lovely community members, hope you had a great weekend. Now, let's kickstart Monday with a Huddle of the Week discussion centering around the meeting trends you should look out for!
Meetings have evolved over the years as planners race to adapt to trends that make conferences and events more engaging and dynamic than ever before. Keeping this in mind, I wanted to share a few key trends that are ruling the events industry -
- Millennials are the decision-makers now: We're all aware of how tech-savvy and social media-savvy millennials have become a larger part of the target audience today. With a higher technological literacy, they value networking and experiences over material goods.
- Attendees demand a fluid meeting agenda: Gone are the days of static schedules and rather attendees prefer personalized sessions that appeal to different interests and preferences. When they can choose topics that excite them, there's more energy and increased engagement in the room. You can personalize the entire agenda - right from food, and breakout sessions, to activities!
- Event technology helps planners pull off more than ever before: The events industry and attendee behavior are both evolving at a fast pace. This is why planners are expected to design more complex and innovative experiences. Therefore, event technologies are getting higher adoption rates to help event teams market better, manage guests more efficiently, map out their events in detail, engage with the audience in real-time, track ROI, and more.
Questions for you:
- Which event technology development are you looking forward to and how do you think it'll make a difference to your business?
- Is there any meeting industry trend that you'd like to add to the above list?
