  • 1.  Placing pending registrations into an "under review" state

    Posted 08-10-2022 12:01
Our team regularly reviews pending registrations in batches (case uses: seeking manager approvals, passing registrants through a third-party check). We have no way of parsing new pending registrations from the ones we previously pulled for review.

Our current process is to either (1) re-run a report and manually mark previous registrants in Excel or (2) add a report date filter, check for overlapping/missing registrants since the last run, and manually add them in Excel.

I've submitted a product enhancement request under "Ideas" to create an "in-review" status or category, but was wondering in the meantime -- does anyone have any creative solutions on how to manage this process more efficiently and/or with less hair-pulling? Any ideas are welcome.

    Thank you!

    Hi Khushi,

We do have a planner alert that we can set for "Pending Registration Submitted" and have the recipient set as the third party planner, or reviewer. This way instead of running the report, once they have reviewed the registration they can approve it using from the alert itself.

You can set the setting for "Pending Registration Settings" within the alert as "Without logging in to Cvent" if required.

To set this up go to Events >Email >Planner Alerts>Create Alert>Select the category as Registration>Type as Pending Registration Submitted>Next>Update the information>Update the setting for "Pending Registration Settings">Add Recipients>Select the information required, such as custom or standard field or registration questions if any>Finish.

I would create two reports, and disregard your spreadsheet - unless you are tracking things there. Using the suggestion of the planner alert would be great if you can easily identify certain registrants to certain approvers. If you use the alert, you can then easily track in the filtered report who is left to approve.
