Hey there! I know the social wall was discontinued in 2022. Every year our clients ask for it again. I know we can link to FB/IG etc. but our client really wants this to be internal within the app for attendees only. I am currently looking into Wall.IO but wondering if anyone else has some suggestions or solutions here. THANKS!

    Hi Courtney,

What we have seen a lot of planners do is create a featured text discussion titled "Event Feed" or "Activity Feed" and have it open the duration of the event and this allows only attendees who are logged into the app to post pictures, share comments, react to other people's posts, etc.

    • Adding Discussions to Your Attendee Hub walks through how to create a featured text discussion to act as an Activity Feed/Event Feed that can be featured on the homepage of your app for greater visibility and participation
    • Here's a demo event that shows this functionality if you want to register for the event first via this link https://www.bluecorpevents.com/FutureTechConference and then once registered you can search for the event in the Cvent Events app by searching for CVT bftc25 and logging in and then you will see the discussion featured on the home page
    • You can name the discussion whatever you'd like and set the date and time that it will be available for (we usually see it being called something like an activity feed, event feed, event networking, etc. and see it spanning the entirety of the event or from when the app is sent out to attendees through the end of the event, etc.)
    • If you choose not to feature a discussion on the home page of the app, that's totally fine, attendees can still access it by clicking on the community icon at the bottom and see all of the applicable discussions there to participate in too

As you also mentioned, we do partner with Walls.IO as well if you wanted to go that route and you can link to the walls.io gallery as a custom card in your Attendee Hub event. Here is an demo example of what that could look like.
