Hello - I am having to train two new employees (of a department of three including myself) anyone have any good tricks for getting these employees up to speed on cvent fast as we have get our busy season. Unfortunately we weren't able to make it work to have cvent come in person to do a training.

Point them to the training videos on the community and have them set-up test request forms, events, RFPs, etc. Best if they can test on a real event or situation. May also want to consider having them focus on different sections at first so they can become experts and help train each other down the road.

Get them set up with Cvent Academy!  I started using Cvent last July with absolutely no previous exposure to the software, and in just a few weeks, I was able to create and manage events with little assistance from my team.  I recommend the Event Management for Planners I and Event Management for Planners II learning plans to start.  If you're going to be using the Attendee Hub, the Attendee Hub Onboarding learning plan is great.  If you're going to be doing any hybrid events, the Hybrid Event Training learning plan is a MUST.  From there, make sure they know how to navigate through the Community, including the Knowledge Base and Open Forum, so they can look up information for themselves if they get stuck.

If you have the capacity, have them set up a test event from start to finish to see what the process is like.  Otherwise, have them start with creating and managing small scale events.  I started with small, low-pressure events that only had 8-12 attendees, so if I made a mistake, it wasn't the end of the world.

I also recommend that if you're all going to be working on the same events or similar events, set up some standards for things you need to be consistent across all events.  Is your branding look and feel similar between all of your registration sites and attendee hub sites?  Are your timelines for things like cancellation/refund dates, email send dates, survey reminders, etc, all similar?

Best of luck with your employee onboarding!!
