We are currently only holding 1-hour webinars, so we do not have separate breakout sessions. However, we do utilize poll questions. We do also do internal lunch and learn sessions; however we use Teams for that.
I have attended days-long events that have breakout sessions, and it can be a nice break from educational sessions. We once sponsored a yoga session at a channel partner's event, and it was well received.

Subject: Useful tools for organizing virtual breakout sessions
Hello everyone, hope you're all having a good week.
In this week's Tip of the Week discussion, we wanted to talk about tools that can help you efficiently organize virtual breakout sessions. Let's get started!
The world is slowly getting back to in-person events but the demand for virtual events stays the same. With that in mind, virtual breakout sessions remain important whether you're organizing a team-building or corporate session. Since many of us can't see our attendees in person, you need to make sure that it is easy to connect with them virtually. This requires investing in the right technology and tools to make your virtual breakout session experiences as seamless as possible.
But what are these tools? Worry not, here are a few tips and suggestions:
- Host a Live Stream Session
- Host a Collaborative Session
- You can use Cvent Event App to create fun games as well as foster communication between attendees via messaging tools
- Attendees can also message each other directly
- Add some fun to team meetings by including polls and quizzes within the app to encourage bonding
- Feedback is the breakfast of champions:
- Some breakout session ideas:
- Quizzes and polls
- Online board games
- Lunch and learn
- Ask Me Anything
- Chair yoga or meditation sessions
Questions for you:
- Which Cvent tools have you used for organizing virtual breakout sessions?
