For anyone else frustrated by the lack of a well-designed agenda page in Flex, here's a hack that works for me.
Create your agenda in MS Word - looking however makes the most sense for your event. Saving your file a certain way generates code you can copy and paste into a code widget. I've attached what it can look like. It's important to note that it is a static page - BUT you can put hyperlinks into your word document (to speaker bios, etc) and they do work when the page is published. When the agenda changes - just update your word document - and follow the steps below again.
Instructions - I used Chrome as the browser
Create your agenda in Word
Click Save As and give the file a name - THEN in the "Save as Type" dropdown, select "Web Page, Filtered (*.htm,*html)"
Save
Open the file you just created (it opens in a browser because it's now an html).
Right click on the page, and select "View Page Source"
Select all the code that appears
Copy and paste that code into a code widget on your agenda page.
