Hey all, welcome back to another edition of the Tip of the Week discussion!

We'd all agree with the saying - 'Feedback is the breakfast of champions'! However, it's important to note that any feedback's effectiveness is incomplete when limited to just its collection from your audience. The real game-changing event technology here would be a solution that provides an easy way of collecting as well as reporting/ generating insights from your feedback. This is where Cvent Surveys (formerly known as Inquisium) come into play to help you with an easy way of leveraging the best out of your event feedback!

If you want to check out when to use a Premium survey and a Basic survey, visit this post where we have shared a checklist to keep handy while creating both types of survey products!

Here's what's new and different with Cvent Surveys:
    • New surveys are built with a survey designer:
      • This feature allows you to drag and drop widgets onto a canvas to build your questionnaire. This easy-to-use model gives planners a clear idea of what the finished product will look like as they build it.
      • The wide range of question types-including rating, choice, net promoter, rank order, and more-give you the opportunity to collect varied forms of data.
      • In case you're looking to make your surveys more complex, then opt for adding different methods of logic, such as link logic or masking logic. This enables respondents to only see the questions and answer choices that apply to them.
    • Get a seamless experience with surveys that are compatible with the entire Cvent Platform:
      • You can now share the session attendance and feedback directly with the speakers by using surveys and the Speaker Resource Center.
      • Did you know? With the premium surveys license, you no longer have to export reports individually to share with speakers.
      • Incorporate surveys directly into the Attendee Hub and Event App. Attendees can respond to surveys during or after the session and provide event feedback right from the Attendee Hub home page.

    Questions for you:
    • How has Cvent Survey helped with your events?
    • What are some of your useful tips for designing Cvent surveys?

Your community peers can't wait to know your thoughts in the comment section below. So, let's get started by discussing today's post! #CventTip

    Questions for you:
    • How has Cvent Survey helped with your events?  Because the surveys are generated from Cvent, we are able to very quickly reach segmented audiences - from those who attended the event to those who canceled or declined.  The ability to implement quick turnaround in the survey allows us to get feedback while the event is fresh in the minds of attendees.

    • What are some of your useful tips for designing Cvent surveys?
      - Build the Cvent survey with the same branding as the event, so attendees know immediately that this is a communication related to the event.
      - Use event and/or metric-specific questions rather than open-ended or generic ones to get functional feedback you can use to edit and improve the program and event for next time
      - Personalize survey via Cvent email text to help encourage attendees to open and complete the survey

    • How has Cvent Survey helped with your events?  We haven't used the paid version in a few years but the free one per event has been good for gathering information post event to see how clients enjoyed the event, what went well, which speakers were best, etc so we could take those learnings and use them to build an even better event next time.
      • What are some of your useful tips for designing Cvent surveys? Nice design, simple to ask, streamlined questions. People are more willing to answer if the survey is simple and short so focus on just using the survey to ask the questions you really need/want answers to. The autofill feature is great too with cvent so you dont need to waste a few questions to ask things like name or PII since it'll auto connect the responses back to a person.

The main tip is to use the registration process to capture information -- registration gets higher completion rates than surveys. Custom contact fields are also critical for dashboard reporting and support cross-event consistency.
