  • 1.  Adding multiple check-out options

    Is there any solution that would allow someone to check out for an event with an installment plan?  We'd like to offer a one-time payment or 6 monthly installments and I'm not finding any way to set that up.

    Hi Andrea,

    The only thing I can think of would be to offer an offline payment option, and change the name to "Installment Plan." This would require manual effort on your part though, because your attendees would have to call in and make those installment payments to you over the phone and you would enter them into the back end. To my knowledge, it's currently the only way to make a partial payment like that.

    If the partial payments doesn't work out then I think we'll use the one-time payment option and then I'll have to create Stripe subscriptions on the back end.  It will require users to enter their CC another time but at least it wouldn't need to be collecting payments every month

    Oooh, thanks Marissa! I read from someone else just last week that partial payments could only be done on the back end so this is great information! :D

    Have you used this option before?  I'm curious if it still requires attendees to manually go in and make 6 partial payments or if it can be set up on auto pay.

    Hi Andrea,

    No I haven't. It sounds as if the attendee would need to log back in each time to make a payment. So you may have a bit of admin to follow up with the payments. Unless there's a way to set up automatic email reminders for payment.

    Sorry, I'm a beginner as well so learning as I go :)
