    Hi there, 

    I am adding speakers to my event and there is a box called 'Designation' I cannot seem to find what this is/ or what it means. Please can someone help? Also if the Speaker is already registered as an Attendee is there a way of pulling that info across into the speaker profile without having to re-add the information.  Thanks.

    We tend to leave designation blank but it'd normally be used to define someones job purpose or official qualifications (i.e. sales manager, administrative assistant, president).

    Don't believe you can pull in a speaker profile.

    I have assumed Designation is for professional credentials such as ARM, MD, JD, PhD, etc.  We don't use the field, not even for speakers.

    We use this to put certification abbreviations (CMP, PMP, CPCU, etc.) or things like PhD. You certainly don't have to use it and there's functionality to have it not display in your speaker widgets.

    Hi Lisa, 

    The Designation field is for degree letters appearing after the name, as others commented. There is no simple way to pull the info from the attendee to the speaker, though once you have created a speaker it will be linked to the contact. If you have repeat speakers, adding them at the admin level is very handy.

    Agree with the rest of the posts the professional designations that the speaker would want to be showcased. If they have any certifications or credentials. I would agree with Béline Falzon answer in regards to your second question.
