Brett,
Happy New Year.
Our Office of Development-related events do have gift portions related to either a fee or as an additional donation option. For the events with optional donations, we utilize the Optional Item and choose the donation choice. A couple of stipulations we have are the following: we note this is a Non-Refundable Gift, the fund name and number are included, and the description of how/where the funds will be used.
For the events with a gift with premium events (buy a ticket and a portion of the price is a gift) we either put in the two general ledge codes into the fee or if the percentage does work with the fee/gift we use the tax to designate the gift portion.
If you have anymore questions feel free to reach out.

Subject: Donations on Cvent and Your School's Gift office
Hi all,
I was wondering how your gifts office or finance handles gifts made via Cvent? Also, do you have any restrictions on gifts made via Cvent (i.e. they can only be made via Donation Items and not via Admission Items)?
