  • 1.  Headers & Footer

    Posted 07-05-2022 10:33

    Hi Team,

We have built the multi language website. The English version of the website has a website banner with English content.

For other language we want to use separate image. For now when we change the website language in the "language selector" content of the website changes as per translated content.

Is it possible to have separate header image widget?

    Thanks & Regards,

    MVJ

    Hi Vijayathivakaran,

Unfortunately, as of now there is no direct way to add image basis languages as there is only one site designer, however, as an alternative, I would suggest you to use the P-image data tag, i.e. {[P-IMAGE]}. To utilize this, you can add a text widget on the default website header and footer>Within the text widget add the data tag: {[P-IMAGE]} and we can simply add the image's name within the data tag followed by a colon. For example: {[P-IMAGE:Test Image Name]}. Similarly for the other languages we can utilize the language management section.

Go to Events >Marketing >Language Management>Select the language> From the All Text drop down select "Text and Visuals">Click on the code icon next to the text widget which has the {[P-IMAGE]} data tag added>Now, update the name of the image for this language. For example: {[P-IMAGE:Test Image Name 2]}.

Please note: the images you are adding the names for should be saved in Cvent library for the data tag to work.

    Hi MVJ,

An alternativ option would be to use an image that's graphic only, no text, and overlay text boxes that can be modified based on the language version.
That's also friendlier to people using screen readers btw.

    Cheers,
