  • 1.  Hide a section from public view in the event web designer. Publish it today, show it later!

Here is a quick way to build a section in your event web page designer early so you can have it ready for later.

For example, you are getting to announce your keynotes on your event website. You can build out your keynote section on the home page, hide it and publish it until ready for the announcement. Then just unhide it and publish it again when ready.

    STEPS:
Set up the ability to hide the section...
1 - Click on the "Theme" button from the right-hand sidebar,
2 - Click on CSS Classes at the bottom of the Theme list on the right side.
3 - Toggle the switch "Apply CSS" to on
4 - Add the text ".hidekeynote {display: none;}"  (no quotations) to the text box. (The text hidekeynote can be changed to be descriptive of what you are hiding.)
5 - Click the button "Apply CSS"

Apply the CSS to give you the ability to hide a section

How to hide an individual section...
1 - Click on the section you want to hide
2 - Scroll down on the section options on the right
3 - Find the "Select the classes to apply" and click on the dropdown menu. Select "hidekeynote" CSS

Select the CSS that you would like to apply.

    To Show/Unhide the section.
Go back to the Theme and the CSS section from the right side. find the "hidekeynote" section and remove it.

If you plan on using this for multiple items that will be released at different times, I would suggest creating multiple CSS types such as "hidekeynote" and "hidepricing" for example.

This is great information! Just last week I had to completely remove a section out of a home page and move it to a hidden page until we are ready to use it; this will be a much better solution! Thanks Danny!
