  • 1.  How to Change a Custom Field Type

    I have several custom fields for Contact, for event registration. For 1 field, it is currently set as "Open Ended Text - One Line" and Answer Format as "Number". But I need it to be text instead (to accomodate for alpha-numeric values).

    How do I just change the Type?

    Please tell me I can, because if the answer is that I have to create a whole new field, that is true insanity! I would have to replace that field on multiple Events and multiple Registration paths! Not to mention, pull it into Salesforce & remap there.

    This is not something you can change on your own in the tool, however the technology team can get that changed for you.
