  • 1.  In need of a Salesforce integration record history report to monitor failures

    Hi,
Does anyone have recommendations on producing a report to monitor errors? In the classic model of SF integrations, Cvent had a Salesforce Record History report that included the following fields which made researching errors easier. In the SF app, Cvent doesn't provide any reporting, nor do they have recommendations on creating a report similar to the below. I'm hoping another enterprise user has found success with reproducing a report similar to the below.
From Cvent Object Type Salesforce Object Type Configuration Operation Type Object Title/Name Campaign Member Status Created Date (GMT-08:00) Pacific [US & Canada] Last Updated Date (GMT-08:00) Pacific [US & Canada] Transfer Status Error

    Hi Nadine,
Long time! Following :)  Interested in learning more about this kind of report. What types of errors did it track?

    TIA!

    Hi Hallie,
The report monitored success and failures of the Cvent/Salesforce integration. If the contact/lead failed to sync, there was a column that specified why it didn't sync for example, if the registrant had an old value associated to their contact record or was missing a required value, that would be included in the report to investigate further.

Following thread, as we are still adapting to our SF integration. While we don't track a lot of data flowing from SF to Cvent, it took us many meetings with an integration specialist from Cvent to identify many errors logs that were happening. I've not dabbled in the Cvent reporting side for SF information, so I'm excited to learn more about it.

Hello All! I am a bit late sifting through the community for the Salesforce topic, so apologies. I provided response in this thread: https://community.cvent.com/discussion/salesforce-integration-report#bmd6cfb869-a134-40a9-bf70-01866ed96382

But in short, as a native app all of the error reporting will now live in Salesforce for the Cvent Salesforce App, versus the old connector was not a native app and all reporting lived in Cvent.

The most similar "report" in the newer app is to select Attendee Temp Records from the app switcher in Salesforce and it does return a list of all the attendee records and their associated fields that sync from Cvent. There is a status column and you can filter/change the view to see if there are errors. It will also tell you what the error was that prevented that record to match with the corresponding Salesforce Contact/Lead/Person Account, and/or if it failed to sync completely. From there, if the reason does not make sense on how to resolve, it would be best to call customer care and speak with one of our Solutions Specialists to help review the error(s) with you and provide solution. If we cannot troubleshoot on the call, we do have escalation paths to get the resolution in as timely of a fashion as possible.

Thanks for your posts and please feel free to message me if you have questions.
