  • 1.  Is it possible to make guest registration questions dependent on registration type?

    Setting up registration for an event where people can bring guests. The guests could fall into different categories though, and would like to have the registration form for the guest show/hide fields depending on which registration type they choose for the guest.

    For example, the primary registrant will always be a full attendee, but they could have the option of adding:

    1. Another full attendee that would require the same fields as the primary
    2. A dinner only attendee that would require a smaller subset of those fields
    3. A child who would have separate programming and has an entirely different set of required fields

    Is this possible? I don't seem to see settings on the field level to show only to certain registration types. All of the visibility settings seem to be dependent on Contact Field information.

    Great questions! I'm following for answers.  And am also curious if there is away to do the reverse.  If the Invitee adds a Guest, can that trigger questions downline on the Registration Path?  ie- if a Guest is added, then on the Travel Page can a field be shown to add the Guest's TSA/Pre-check number?  It seems odd to ask that question on the Guest enrollment page when we have not even asked if they are flying or driving to the event yet.

    Hi Michele,

    Are you using the flight request widget? If so, if you set it up so that this setting as seen in the screenshot below is set to Invitees and their guests, then they can submit flight requests for both themselves as the primary registrant and then their guest and then you can create a text question on the travel page and within the visibility settings set it up to "connect with a travel widget" and then select the flight request widget and then it will show for those who make requests via the flight request widget.
