New Budget Module – Launching August 17!
We are pleased to announce that Cvent Budget Management has been revamped and redesigned with several new updates. The new Budget Management module will be launched on August 17.
What is Budget Management?
Event budgeting and spend tracking have long been pain points among planners and procurement professionals. The Budget Management module is a tool which allows planners to keep track of their event spend and efficiently manage their costs. You can track event-related expenses and run a variety of reports to view spending and savings. This ultimately empowers you to make smarter decisions and enhance negotiation power with vendors and hotels on a well-managed budget.
What's changed?
Budget has been reimagined with the goal of improving the user experience and overall usability. This launch will include a new Budget summary page, improved Budget creation workflows, and the option to purchase an enhanced card integration. Detailed features include:
- New Budget Summary Dashboard
- New Budget Admin Configuration
- Enhanced Budget Item Grid
- Improved Budget Creation Workflows
- Streamlined Spend per Person Tracking
- New Card Transactions home page
- New Virtual card types
- New flows for managing and distributing Virtual Cards
- New transaction matching flows
- Currency conversion for transaction matching
Starting August 17, you will have the option to turn on the new Budget. To begin using the new Budget you can reach out to your account team who can turn it on for you. You can then decide to use the legacy or new Budget modules on a per-event basis. The Legacy version of Budget will be retired in 2023.
