  • 1.  QR Codes on Name Badges

    Posted 02-14-2024 12:55

Does anyone else have trouble with QR codes on their name badges with OnArrival? We recently had one of our conferences last week and some badges were printing correctly and others were getting an error message and couldn't print with the code. So we ended up taking it off and it worked fine again.  Any solutions to why some work and some don't?

Are you printing directly from OnArrival? Single badge at a time?

I have had issues with another event registration system where the QR code did not print to the pdf. Seemed more of a memory issue when I tried to print several pdfs at once.

Yes, I'm printing them from OnArrival, one badge at a time. We have the Cvent in a box equipment with the Ipads!

I've had issues when there were too many graphics, but that doesn't sound like the case here.

    Hi Megan,

Thanks for your question! We're sorry to hear your badges weren't printing correctly.

I checked on this internally and noticed your PM sent you the following information:
"Typically, when adding a QR code to the badge, it prompts you to specify the information to be embedded, and in your case, the "Confirmation number" should be selected.
Regarding the Source ID, it's indeed a unique identifier assigned to attendees from your end. From my understanding, it seems that you hadn't added this for your attendees during the event setup."

    I hope this helps!
