  • 1.  Registrants not receiving email confirmations and marked as undeliverable

There appears to be an issue with email confirmations not being sent from Cvent. We have created many events in the past and have not had any issues before with email confirmations automatically sent to registrants. We did not change any of our settings either, but noticed on August 5th, 2025, after Cvent made updates to the software, that email confirmations suddenly stopped being sent and are not being received by our registrants. We are having to manually send people their confirmations in pdf format, as sending the emails manually isn't working either. The Cvent team is telling us to have people check their spam folders or to check with their IT teams to see if they are blocking our emails. However, the undeliverable list shows emails are not being sent, and no one is receiving them including our organization who is cc'd on all emails. Is anyone else having issues with confirmations not being sent to their registrants? This issue is odd, as again we did not change any settings in Cvent, have been doing things as we always have, but the emails suddenly stopped being sent.

Just to confirm, when you say "email confirmations not being sent from Cvent", do you literally mean no emails were sent from cvent (vs. people not getting/seeing  them)?

Have you confirmed emails are (or  not) been sent via a report?

    Email Overview
An overview of sent emails. Includes email information like email name, email type, and open rate (%).
    or
    Sent Email Details
A list of sent emails. Includes email information like email name, invitation list, and sent date.
If you see all of the sent emails, you can check their delivery status. If they are failing to deliver, ensure you DKIM record is properly implemented.
We had an issue with some domains failing to receive emails.  It was due to a change our IT dept. made to our domain DMARC record.

We asked cvent to look at the actual delivery records/email log files for a recent emailing to discover this.

In those logs, they saw the error/rejection codes and understood the issue - "...error smtp;550 5.7.509 Access denied, sending domain intersystems.com does not pass DMARC verification and has a DMARC policy of reject."
(this error log info is not in the email delivery reports - at least when we had the issue in 2024)
