Maybe create another admission item? But if it's sold out, do you need that information?
Or are you creating a waitlist? In that case, you can't ask questions at the session or event level thar are waitlisted.
A workaround might be to create Custom Contact questions but that will only work for the invitee. May not work for the guest,

I will be sending out a registration site for an upcoming event, with Registration Types/Admission Items. My problem is we already have 2 admission items that are sold out.
I need to know what steps I should take to be able to collect the personal information and guest names for the sold out items, without allowing new registrants to select the sold out items.
I think this makes sense.
