    Hi Community,

In testing my recent Event Website's Registration process, I created and distributed testing scenarios through the test function to a handful of people.
By testing the registration process, some registrations have been completed and are represented as 'Accepted' attendees within the event.

These test registrations are listed along with any regular registrations, and are portrayed in the Event Overview. Is there any option to remove test registrations? The only alternative I can find is to Cancel the registrations, which still lists them as attendees in the overview.

    Thanks,

    Hi Cameron,

    Hope you are well.

If the test registrations were done when the event was in 'Pending' status, the test data gets deleted after the event is launched. Sometimes, it may take a while for the system to delete that data from the event. However, the invitees added under the invitation list do not get deleted. Those you'll have to delete manually once you launch the event.

However, if the test registrations were done after the event was made live, then the registration data will not get deleted because the system will count it as a real registration.

If these test registrations were done after the registration was made live, you can unregister these invitees from the event or you can substitute their registration with someone you know wants to attend the event. This way, their registration will get transferred to the new invitee and the old invitee will get removed from the event.

The system does not delete the cancelled/unregistered invitees from the event as there is an audit history associated with the invitee record.

How do the same people test the registration form multiple times? My event is "pending" and the client has registered and tested the site but we had to make updates and they need to test it again but the system is recognizing their info so it won't let them go through again.

It sounds like the test registration was submitted.
I'd delete the registration and have the person start over.

    Hi Stacey!
I either unregister them from the back end so they can register again, or have them use another email (or a fake email if they don't need to see the confirmation again) for the next test.

    Hello,

I had my staff complete test registrations to give any feedback and now they are listed as attendees. Following up on some of their feedback, I need to adjust some things on the registration types, however I can't because it technically looks like someone is already registered under those types. Would unregistering test attendees allow for me to edit the registration types?

During testing if you would like the same people to register without unregistering them on the backend every time we use the trick of adding numbers or names to the email address when registering.

Example: jamzrose@umich.edu and if I want to do a second test I can use jamzrose+2@umich.edu or jamzrose+test2@umich.edu. This functions as a regular email address and you will receive the Registration Confirmation email in your inbox.  Using the + has been invaluable.

As other people have stated once you are done with testing and launch your event all the test registrations are wiped out of the event.

I seem to recall in the past that invitation emails were sent manually to folks who were testing as a means of simulating the entire attendee experience. I believe if you register that way, even while the site is in test mode, they count as actual registrants. That was a while ago, and perhaps that's not the case anymore, but maybe that's what happened here?
