  • 1.  Requiring attendance of specific number of sessions to generate certificates

Is there a way to create a multi-session virtual event and require that participants attend a minimum number of sessions to receive a certificate?  For example, if there are six sessions that are offered in total, the participants would have to attend five out of the six sessions to receive a certificate at the end of the sessions.

    Hi Leila,

There isn't a way to automatically send out the certificates based on this criteria, but you would be able to manually send an email that has the certificate data tag in it to those who meet the criteria. In order to see who has been marked as a participant for 5+ sessions, you could run the session attendance details report and group the report by email address, and then you will be able to see the total number of sessions they attended and a line item for each and then you can do a manual send of the email with the certificate data tag link in it to those who participated in 5+ and then anyone who participated in less would not receive the email with the certificate link at all.

I would recommend submitting this as an idea within Participate > Product Ideas, so that our product team can consider this specific use case for future enhancement requests.

Thank you, Julia!  I appreciate the workaround and also the suggestion to submit the idea!  I've submitted it, as suggested.  Leila
