  • 1.  Speaker Questionnaires Not Saving

    I have had a hard time getting my speakers to complete their speaker questionnaire. So many have said they completed it, but it didn't save. I attempted to fill it out myself and I discovered that the page seems to time out but gives you no indication that it has timed out. It will let you fill everything out and submit and then save nothing. It's been very frustrating as an event planner as well as for my speakers. Has anyone else experienced this? What solutions have you found?

    Our solutions so far have been encouraging speakers to make sure they complete the questionnaire in one sitting and do not leave the tab open. I am also creating a google form with the same questionnaire and will enter their answers myself. This is very frustrating considering all we are paying for. I just wanted to know if anyone else had experienced something similar!

    Hi Madeline,

    I double checked with our Technology team about the timeout for the speaker questionnaire and they confirmed that 60 minutes is the timeout period for the speaker questionnaire specifically. If you haven't done so already, I would recommend adding some bold (and perhaps red) instructional text to the top of the speaker questionnaire page informing speakers of this, as well as the other suggestions you listed about completing it in one sitting, not leaving the tab open, etc. One other suggestion that I did want to make is that the speakers also have an option to add a speaker administrator if they want someone to be able to log in on their behalf to answer those questions (an assistant, etc.) you just need to make sure that the "Speaker Administrators" widget is added onto the My Profile page within the site designer for the Speaker Resource Center. Lastly, I'd also recommend creating a required task with a due date for speakers to complete the Speaker Questionnaire page and sending the task reminder emails that go out to those with incomplete tasks (within Email > Speaker Emails) periodically if you haven't done so already either!
