    1. What's the most memorable trade show giveaway you've ever received?  My favorite thing ever was this collapsible backpack. So it folded into a small pouch you could store stuff in if you wanted to, but it also was able to be turned inside out and it folds out into a fairly decent size backpack I can take on trips without taking up much room in my suitecase.
    2. What eco-friendly swag items have you incorporated into your trade show strategy?  We do a lot of water bottles. We try and use lanyards made from recycled materials.

I have received some great items, but one of the items that I absolutely love is the Airfly pro transmitter. This has been a game changer for me when traveling.

These are some grat ideas for swag bag gifts!

I always tell our sponsors if you think you'd throw it away before you got on the airplane back home, don't gift it.

Working at The Promo Group UK I've found that the most memorable trade show giveaways are the ones that are genuinely useful. Items like insulated water bottles, quality notebooks, reusable coffee cups, and wireless chargers tend to stay on desks and in daily use, keeping the brand visible well beyond the exhibition.

When it comes to eco-friendly swag, I've noticed that more businesses are choosing reusable tote bags, bamboo pens, recycled notebooks, seed paper products, and reusable drinkware. Ultimately, I think the best trade show giveaway is one that aligns with your audience's needs and reflects your brand's values.

That's a tough topic for my unit! We're part of the School of Sustainability at our university, so the first step is that we should not add items into the world until we have a very good reason for it. The first R is Reduce after all! (the others are Reuse and Recycle, in that order).

When we do need a gift, usually to thank a speaker rather than a blanket tchochke for all attendee, we try to source items made of recylced materials. It's a bit priceier but worth it. We work with our swag vendors to source items as locally as possible, and have items travel as little as possible.

To answer the prompt, it's a basic but a great water bottle or a high-quality tote bag are items I am likely to keep using. As for something absolutely unique we're doing right now, I'm working with our campus's arborist and carpentry shops to get slices of trees that fell on campus cut to make blank coasters, and I go to our campus makerspace to laser-engrave them for custom gifts. Can't do more personnal, unique, or sustainable than that!
